1933 Olds Brochure
This is an undated brochure that has been generously provided by John Trayer. It is estimated to be from 1933 and features several photographs from the Will Connell collection. In one of those photographs, the valve pistons for a trumpet are shown with the serial number 565. The current serial number estimates would place serial number 565 in late 1932. This brochure is the earliest Olds marketing material to include the Standard Cornet and the Military trumpet. The oldest recorded Military Trumpet in the Olds Register is 705 and the oldest recorded cornet in the Olds Register is 746. There could obviously be older examples not yet recorded in the Register, but this evidence suggests publication around 1933
