Olds Central /Olds Register Update 1/1/2026

I’d thought that a quarterly schedule might work but I missed October, so for now this will be on a semi-annual schedule.

I continue to receive new entries to the Olds Register. The Register now has 8,262 entries which is an increase of 2,362 in the past 3 years. Thanks to all that continue to contribute information about their Olds brass instruments. Recently, I revised the submission form to split the form into three categories: 1) Los Angeles trumpets and cornets; 2) Fullerton trumpets, cornets and flugelhorns; and 3) Other Olds brasses. A photo guide has also been developed to assist less knowledgeable Olds owners. If you have an Olds brass instrument that is not currently in the database or you have additional information to submit, please take a few minutes to submit information.

Olds Register Submission

Submissions to the Olds Register continue to provide valuable data for adding to the knowledge base about Olds instruments. My friend John Irvine prepared these charts showing the percentage of entries of trumpets and cornets currently in the Olds Register by model:
