Question 13: Bore size

Early Olds trumpets and cornets came in different bore sizes. Some were marked and others were not. The bore size on some models changed until they were generally standardized as .460 for trumpets and .468 for cornets. If you have a set of calipers, the most common place to measure the bore is at the inside of the second valve slide.
