Olds, like most other instrument companies touted professional endorsers in much of its advertising.
In this recently discovered advertisement in the March 15, 1940 issue of Down Beat, Olds had this to say regarding “testimonials”
The same ad included a coupon to send in for an Olds catalog and customers were asked if they were in favor of testimonial advertising.
